THE BENEFITS OF PLAYING IN GLYSA

GLYSA separates itself from other area MSYSA-affiliated organizations in the following ways:

• Few Roster Restrictions: GLYSA-teams can include an unlimited number of players from outside a community, an unlimited number of dual-registered players, and players can play up as many as two years (a talented and committed U10 player can play U12)
• Regular player training and coach education: GLYSA offers all of its teams regular (twice a month) training sessions under the guidance of local professional coaches; coaches are expected and encouraged to attend these sessions to assist with their team and learn from a premier coach. In addition, annual coach development clinics will be offered. There are no additional expenses to participate in these sessions.
• Wider variety of age groups: GLYSA offers U6 and U8 divisions, allowing the area’s youngest players an opportunity to play “The Beautiful Game.”
• ELITE divisions: the area’s top teams can be organized into an ELITE division, guaranteeing competitive
  games without significant travel.

GLYSA offers its members more than any other local organization at a significantly reduced cost:

2006-07 League Expenses (“local league” fee based on 2005-06 rate)

Additional fees will apply for late team paperwork, for individual players and team officials added after the registration deadline, and midseason schedule changes.  Teams are responsible for reservations and payment of their own game fields.  Referees will be assigned by the league and teams will have to pay half of the fees for each game.
